Civil Wrongful Death Investigation Proceeding in Case of Alleged Child Abuse
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) October 08, 2014 -- Nearly one month after 2-year-old Chassie Pietrolungo died while in the care of foster parents, her biological mother, Karen Pietrolungo, has hired McDivitt Law Firm to represent her in her civil claims resulting from Chassie’s alleged wrongful death.
A criminal case is now proceeding in Pueblo, Colorado, against Paul and Sarah Finn, the foster parents who had Chassie Pietrolungo in their care when she received fatal injuries. Sarah Finn is charged in Colorado State District Court in Pueblo for felony child abuse causing death (Court #2014CR1451), and Paul Finn is charged in Colorado State District Court in Pueblo with felony child abuse causing death (Court #2014CR1454).
“The entire team at McDivitt Law Firm was devastated by the death of this little girl,” said David McDivitt, lead attorney for Pietrolungo. “We are determined to find out exactly what went wrong and seek some kind of justice and peace for Chassie."
Karen Pietrolungo’s family and friends thank all of those in the community who have expressed care, concern and support for Chassie over the past few weeks.
