Islamic Centers of Mill Valley and Novato Extend Invitation to its First Eid Salaat And Celebration
Mill Valley, Calif., (PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- For the first time, both Masjids (Mosques) in Marin County are coming together to celebrate the annual Eid-al-Adha Islamic Holiday by hosting an Eid Salaat and Celebration at Neil Cummins School in Corte Madera. The event, based on the lunar calendar, is scheduled for Sunday, October 5th.
Open to individuals of all religious backgrounds, the program will consist of a short talk in English and Salaat, a prayer in Arabic, led by a local Imam. A brief schedule is provided below:
• 8:30 a.m.: The Significance of Eid-al-Adha
• 9:00 a.m.: Salaat (Prayer)
• 9:30 a.m. – Noon: Celebrate with light refreshments and jumping castle for kids

What is Eid-al-Adha?
Eid-al-Adha also known as the Festival of Sacrifice follows the Hajj pilgrimage, where millions of Muslims from all around the world travel to the Holy City of Mecca to reenact the footsteps of Prophet Abraham.
