The ability to record video is a frequent request from our loyal users, and we're extremely pleased to be able to bring it to them with this new and improved version of Presenter.

Ed tech company IPEVO's Presenter software – which many businesspeople and educators use in conjunction with IPEVO document cameras – has gotten a redesigned interface and several new features in a major update. IPEVO Presenter offers a suite of tools and image customizations for the company's line of document cameras, including the Point 2 View, Ziggi-HD and iZiggi-HD, and the VZ-1 HD. Presenter is available for free to download and use for non-commercial purposes and is available through the IPEVO website at http://www.ipevo.com.
Available for PC and Mac, IPEVO Presenter displays a Live View of the real-time video feed from a connected IPEVO document camera. Features include a Full Screen mode to fill the entire screen for large-screen projections; automatic and manual exposure; the ability to take snapshots; an up to 6x digital zoom; on-the-fly resolution toggle; a freeze function to freeze the current image; and a Review mode to manage snapshots.
The new-look Presenter features a cleaner and more intuitive interface to make features and customizations easier to use. Presenter now also includes several new tools which have been added due to popular demand. Perhaps the most important addition is the new video recording function. In the past, users of Presenter were encouraged to use third-party software to record the video from the live stream of the document camera. Now, video recording is an integrated feature and no third-party software is required. Video can be used for such projects as tutorials, demonstrations, v-blogs and e-learning videos. Review mode now includes the ability to sort and manage videos in addition to snapshots. In Review mode, users can also sort photos by date, categorize different types of images, enter Full Screen mode for projection purposes, and set up an album to organize their images.
Among other new features is a way to automate the taking of snapshots over a user-defined interval and desired number of shots. Interval shooting is appropriate for teachers needing to archive a large amount of material quickly. It's also ideal for time-lapse photography (for example, in science experiments) and for stop-motion art projects. A time-lapse video series of photographs can be automatically generated by Presenter without the need for other editing software. Also included with the update is a 360-degree rotation of the Live View which replaces the more limited horizontal and vertical flip/flop function of previous versions. One-click access to 90, 180, and 270 degree rotations are included, along with many intervals in between.
Another important new addition is multiple document camera support. Now two IPEVO doc cams can be connected to the computer and used. Presenter creates two windows so the respective feeds can be viewed at the same time. A variant of this function is to use two windows to show the same feed from a single document camera, which is currently available for Mac versions only. In this way, one window can be used to zoom in and otherwise highlight important parts of the default feed.
"This significant update for IPEVO Presenter came about from direct customer feedback," said Royce Hong, CEO and big head of design for IPEVO. "The ability to record video is a frequent request from our loyal users, and we're extremely pleased to be able to bring it to them with this new and improved version of Presenter. Other new features like multiple doc cam support and interval shooting give users specific, practical tools for applications in both classroom and office environments."
The newest version of Presenter for IPEVO doc cams, including the new video recording function, is now available at no charge through the IPEVO website at http://www.ipevo.com.
