Meridian Bank Chairman and CEO Chris Annas has been named “Banker of the Year” by Philadelphia SmartCEO at their 2014 Power Player Awards.

A 30-year veteran of the banking industry in the Delaware Valley, Chris Annas has served as Chairman and CEO of Meridian Bank since he founded it in 2004. Meridian Bank celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, having grown to $500 million in assets with over 275 employees in 15 offices across the region. Prior to starting Meridian, Annas helped start two other banks and has been actively involved in supporting local causes. He served on the boards of the Devereux Foundation, the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry (CCCBI), the Upper Main Line YMCA, and is currently on the board of the Paoli Hospital Foundation.
