It also achieved Diamond certification from the RIAA for selling more than 10 million copies. It was his first of six albums to earn that distinction, being joined by No Fences, Ropin’ the Wind, Sevens, The Hits, and Double Live. The latter was certified Platinum by the RIAA 21 times, earning Diamond certification double.
Joining him on tour is his wife, Trisha Yearwood. Yearwood is a popular country performer in her own right. She entered the music business in 1989 and has sold more than 12.5 million records during her career. She has won three Grammy Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, one American Music Award, and three Country Music Association Awards. Most recently, fans will have seen her on her cooking series on the Food Network, which she received an Emmy Award for.
The Rupp Arena is a multi-purpose facility that opened in 1976. The venue is home to the Kentucky Wildcats Men’s Basketball team and can seat anywhere from 5,000 to 24,500 fans for a concert. When Brooks and Yearwood perform here in the fall, fans will pack the venue to the rafters for a chance to see this show.
