U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce and JMG Asia Launch Internship Program
Chicago and Atlanta (PRWEB) September 29, 2014 -- The United States-China Chamber of Commerce (USCCC) and JMG Asia are today announcing a strategic partnership to provide internships, educational opportunities and professional training to American university students looking to upgrade their resumes with business experience in China.
Through the agreement, the USCCC, which has more than 20 years of experience promoting business ties between the U.S. and China, will place qualified applicants in professional internship positions with reputable businesses in China. JMG Asia will in turn find, recruit and manage relationships with college students and other qualified applicants.
“Promoting education between American and Chinese citizens, especially university students who are the leaders of tomorrow, is one of the best ways to ensure a secure and prosperous future between the world’s two most powerful nations,” said Siva Yam, president of the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce. “In JMG, we’ve found an up-and-coming partner with complementary values and unique marketing strengths that can help us pursue these lofty aims.”
“With this partnership, we are giving ambitious students a simple, secure way to connect with leading Asian companies like never before,” said Michael Fenton, president and co-founder of JMG Asia. “With the unmatched network and expertise the USCCC has in China, we can help put these young professionals in a position to go out and explore foreign cultures, while gaining valuable experience that will make them irresistible to prospective employers.”
Internship positions are available to any interested American citizens over the age of 18 who are currently attending a university, have recently graduated or who possess relevant professional experience. Opportunities cross a range of industries but will focus heavily on 7 primary tracks: marketing, finance, legal, engineering, technology, design and operations. Candidates interested in positions made available through this exclusive partnership can apply at http://www.jmgasia.com/application.
The agreement also gives JMG Asia rights to market various USCCC services, including the Young Ambassador’s Program, which offers a combination of business experience, classes, educational seminars and tourist activities to Americans in China, as well as various skills training workshops for American businesses looking to cater to Chinese customers.
