The A.M.I. Helps Long Island Marine Companies Recover Lost Revenue by Making Them Aware of NY Rising Grants Still Available in 4th Quarter of 2014
(PRWEB) September 28, 2014 -- The Association of Marine Industries (A.M.I.) is actively helping Long Island marine based companies recover lost revenue from Hurricane Sandy through NY Rising, a designated New York State funding program. The A.M.I. is making a strong push to ensure that NY Marine based companies are aware of the program as a large number of grants are still available.
New York State is in the process of delivering in excess of 2.7 million dollars of relief funds specifically to marine based companies. Individual companies that sustained damage from the Hurricane can receive up to $250,000 in relief funds. In addition businesses who sustained none or minimal damage but lost customer revenue as an after-effect of the storm are also eligible for relief funds. To begin the grant application process, go to NY Rising’s website at stormrecovery.ny.gov
The A.M.I. which is dedicated to the promotion and growth of Long Island’s marine industry is helping to facilitate and submit applications for the Sandy Rising program to marine business owners. “The AMI is acting as a resource to Long Island marine business owners to ensure they have access to these grants and that they are submitted to the state in accordance with the regulations of the program.” Said Eric Kreuter, President of the A.M.I.
“As with any state program there are limited funds to be given out and we want to make sure Long island Marine Business owners are able to submit their application in a timely manner.”
