Los Angeles Photographer Protects Her Client's Privacy
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) September 30, 2014 -- In light of all of the controversy stirring around the recent hacked photos of celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton the question of privacy is on everyone’s mind. If you are a celebrity should you be expected that your privacy will be violated? If you privately pose for nude photographs should you expect that they will eventually end up in the wrong hands whether you are a celebrity or not? Fine art nude portrait photographer Linnea Lenkus says, “No!”
One of the areas that Lenkus has specialized in for over two decades is fine art nude photography, and as a long time respected professional of the art, the Los Angeles photographer stresses that the privacy of her clients is extremely important. “At my portrait studios my staff and I go above and beyond to ensure that our client’s privacy is protected,” Lenkus stated. She is often commissioned by women who want to preserve the beauty of their bodies in an elegant and creative way.
The veteran photographer quickly pointed out that one of the biggest differences between her studio and those photographers popping up today is that she does not export her images to a photo lab or to third-world retouching mills to be retouched. “Yes it's a lot cheaper to export your images to those retouching factories but who knows who is looking at them or where they go from there? It is actually quite scary to think that someone you don't know has the power to see things you don't want them to see,” the photographer exclaims. Lenkus shared that she only works with a private local retouch artist that she has been working with for years.
Lenkus still showcases her artwork on both her websites and in art galleries because she sticks to a strict set of guidelines that she has followed and enforced since the beginning of her photography business. The photographer explained that faces are altered, blurred or cropped out and distinguishing marks are removed or altered if the client has expressed that they wish to remain anonymous.
Lenkus further explained that those clients appearing unaltered have given consent and are excited to show off their bodies in such a refined way. “I have always and will always photograph the female body in a respectful, classical and sophisticated style,” Lenkus said. "I think of nude photography as something classy that should hang in a gallery or museum. The curve of a woman's body, to me, is what's beautiful...not the taboo imagery associated with boudoir photography."
In a world where people are constantly being exploited Linnea Lenkus goes that extra mile to provide higher standards that her clients have come to expect. She has found a way to respect both the art and the privacy of her clients.
