Marc Wilson of MWD Lifestyles Celebrates 16 Years in Design
New York, New York (PRWEB) September 03, 2014 -- Marc Wilson, founder and Creative Director of MWD Lifestyles (formerly Marc Wilson Design), will host an invitation-only open studio and tastemakers event at his ground floor level design studio located at 105 Edgecombe Avenue on September 16th, 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Wilson will celebrate his sixteenth year in the upscale event and wedding industry and new international destination partnerships. The event will also serve as a soft launch for the newest branch of MWD Lifestyles and Weddings by MWD Lifestyles, which is geared towards wedding services. Light fare will be provided by Owner/Chef Juliet Masters of Edge Cafe, and additional event partners.
Guests interested in corporate, private and wedding events are invited to liaise between the design headquarters and The Edge, a local eatery just two doors down the block, to enjoy an English and Jamaican multi-cultural fusion-inspired menu created by Owner/Chef Juliet Masters with DJ Jeremiah in residence spinning world music. The contemporary feel of the New York-based design house matches that of the trending, hip neighborhood it is nestled in. Wilson, who began his business in Harlem out of his own apartment, said finding the current headquarters was a return to MWD Lifestyles’ roots.
“I’ve always wanted to be out of the fray of other industry design companies. This allowed our team to create independently of what is happening in the mainstream and allows us to have our own voice about what designing events is to us. The design industry is ever changing, so to be in the business for nearly 20 years is something to be proud of.”
