Dogological and Gabriel’s Angels Align to Teach Humans to Listen to Dogs
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- Dogological, a company that seeks to empower dog owners by teaching from the dog’s point of view, is celebrating the Association of Pet Dog Trainers’ (APDT) National Train Your Dog Month by partnering with Gabriel’s Angels, a non-profit organization that serves over 13,000 abused, neglected, and at-risk children in Arizona with pet therapy, in order to bring the Dogological Dog Teaching Method At Home Program DVD set available to dog owners nationwide.
Dogological takes a psychological approach to training from the dog’s point of view. The company’s founder, Brad Jaffe (certified by APDT as a Certified Pet Dog Trainer in 2002), has over 15 years of experience working with over 6,500 dogs and their owners, and over the years has learned that it’s possible to train a dog without using intimidation, physical corrections or alpha-dog techniques. His approach to dog training helps humans understand how to listen to dogs and uses rewards and praise in order to get the desired response.
“From raising a puppy, to obedience training, to dealing with severe behavioral problems such as separation anxiety and all forms of aggression, Brad is a true animal behaviorist using non-forceful, psychological behavior modification techniques,” said William O. Bracken, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dogological is currently raising funds to finish the production of the Dogological Dog Teaching Method At Home Program DVD set and will be launching an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign to raise national awareness and support in early February. The DVD set will contain six DVDs that provide interactive videos that teach dog owners to understand how to teach dogs anything they want them to learn through clear communication the dogs understand – in the comfort of the owner’s home. The method teaches owners to train their dogs from the dog’s point of view and allows them to use as much or as little structure as the owner prefers.
“National Train Your Dog Month should be a reminder to everyone about the power of love and compassion in the training of animals and the power of these animals to connect with at risk children and youth who deserve the same love and compassionate upbringing,” said Pam Gaber, founder of Gabriel’s Angels. “I’ve worked with Dogological for a number of years in order to prepare our therapy dogs to work with over 13,000 at-risk children in Arizona because the Dogological method of teaching is a perfect match to prepare dogs for therapy work. I’m so excited that in the coming months, Dogological’s highly sought out and humane training method will be available to all dog owners.”
Portions of the proceeds received in the Indiegogo campaign will be directly donated to Gabriel’s Angels to assist in the expansion of Gabriel’s Angels therapy dog program to meet the needs of approximately 10,000 additional children in Arizona and to expand the program into other cities across the nation.
