Management Concepts Inc. has been authorized by the General Services Administration (GSA) to deliver the GSA's Lease Acquisition Training course.

Management Concepts Inc., the nation’s premier provider of professional development, performance improvement, and talent management solutions for the public sector, today announced the General Services Administration (GSA) has authorized the company to deliver GSA’s Lease Acquisition Training course.

This is the initial course that Federal leasing specialists must take to become knowledgeable about Federal real property leasing and to satisfy the training required for a lease contracting officer simplified acquisition warrant. The course is also required by leasing personnel performing real property leasing functions in accordance with a GSA delegation of leasing authority.

Lease Acquisition Training is interactive and case-based, allowing students to participate in hands-on table exercises using a case study that simulates the entire lease acquisition process. GSA designed the course to provide consistency across all GSA regions for leasing contracting officers and leasing specialists, as well as to serve as a refresher for leasing personnel seeking to maintain warrants.

“Management Concepts is proud to have received GSA authorization to deliver GSA’s course,” said Chuck Williams, Director for the Federal Acquisition & Contracting practice at Management Concepts. “We provide training to leasing personnel in both GSA and agencies operating under a GSA delegation of leasing authority to meet their initial training requirements necessary to obtain lease contracting officer warrants.”

Of note, this new course replaces Federal Real Property Leasing as the foundation course for obtaining leasing contracting officer warrants. Management Concepts has repurposed that course and retitled it, Federal Real Property Leasing Refresher, which can be used to help satisfy continuous learning requirements for those seeking to maintain their warrants.
