Announcement: GuitarControl.com releases “Easy Blues Lick of the Day - Electric Guitar Lesson on Pentatonic Licks”
(PRWEB) September 30, 2014 -- “When you are learning the guitar you have to learn the basic scales, but you also have to learn different licks and examples so you can see how to put the scales together into a musical phrase”, says Johnson. Claude demonstrates this easy blues lick based in the minor pentatonic scale in the key of A as follows; 8th fret of the first string with 3rd finger to the 5th fret with first finger and then repeat that sequence for the second string, then 7th fret of the 3rd string with 3rd finger and do a half step bend and release and then a pull-off to the 5th fret with first finger and then a hammer-on to the 7th fret of the 4th string with 3rd finger, “this is the first part of the lick”, says Johnson. Claude demonstrates the second part of the lick as follows; 7th fret of the 3rd string with 3rd finger to the 5th fret with first finger and repeat this sequence for the 4th string to the 7th fret of the 5th string with 3rd finger and then slide to the 5th fret to a pull-off to the 3rd fret with first finger and finally a hammer-on to the 5th fret of the 6th string with third finger. Guitar TAB’s are available for this easy beginner lead guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.
The Pentatonic Scale is a musical scale with five notes per octave. They can be found all over the world and are the main scale used in the Blues genre.
