“There’s no limit to the flavors for Zeno’s. If you can think of it, we can make it,” said John Zeno Louizes, the third-generation owner of Zeno’s World’s Most Famous Taffy. “Eventually we’ll have twice that many.”

Zeno’s World’s Most Famous Taffy™ already boasts more flavors of taffy than any company in the world – and now has passed the century mark with number 101 - Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.
The march to pass 100 stretches back to 1948 when the Zeno’s family offered 12 flavors of taffy. Fifty years later they debuted number 50, and over the past decade that number has doubled.
The idea for Pineapple Upside-Down Cake came from a very personal experience for John Zeno Louizes, the third-generation owner of Zeno’s World’s Most Famous Taffy. “When my wife and I were first married, that was a dessert she would make all the time,” he explained. “She hadn't made it in a while … and then she recently made one and I ate the entire thing. Boom! The idea popped in my head.”
The top-three best-selling flavors are Vanilla, Chocolate, and Fruit Punch. Those are some of the most common flavors; however, Zeno’s also features flavors that are considered unusual for candy. These include Sangria, Maple Bacon, Chili Pepper, and Beer. Zeno’s has a flavor to satisfy just about any palate, even those with uncommon appeal. “There’s no limit to the flavors for Zeno’s. If you can think of it, we can make it,” said Louizes. “Eventually we’ll have twice that many.”
Louizes believes the best way for anyone to discover their favorite flavor is simply by trying them. “It’s great to have so many different flavors, and we encourage customers to sample whatever they want,” he explained. “People quickly realize our products are not like the hard, mass-produced taffy they had when they were kids. Ours is softer and always fresh, and our customers are amazed at how each flavor is spot-on.”
Zeno’s manufactures over 125,000 pounds of taffy per year sold retail in two locations, Zeno’s Boardwalk Sweet Shop in Daytona Beach, Florida; and Zeno’s Boardwalk Sweet Shop on Florida’s west coast at Johns Pass Boardwalk in Madeira Beach.
