Columbia Southern University Enters Agreement with Law Enforcement Training Center
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (PRWEB) September 29, 2014 -- Columbia Southern University (CSU), an online university based in Alabama, is excited to announce an articulation agreement with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). This agency trains 70,000 students each year from federal, state, municipal, territorial, tribal and international criminal justice agencies.
CSU has articulated three FLETC training programs:
• Criminal Investigator Training Program
• Uniformed Police Training Program
• Land Management Police Training Program
The agreement with CSU allows FLETC students to expand their career opportunities with an online college degree and gain more avenues to meet their educational goals. This agreement provides the option for current CSU students and prospective students to gain college credits for what they have learned at this federal training organization.
“This articulation agreement will serve our current and future students better by giving them more options to gain credits,” explained Joe Saitta, Ph.D., CSU criminal justice program director. “FLETC is one of the two top federal law enforcement Training Academies in this country (the other is the FBI Academy) and this agreement represents a huge step forward for our university.”
Students who would like to request credit for training completed at the FLETC should submit a course transfer request form along with their FLETC transcript to registar(at)columbiasouthern(dot)edu. CSU will review all forms and transcripts to determine if the student is eligible for transfer credits.
