The leader in nationwide moving labor, Simple Moving Labor, proudly launches its first “Moving Memories” Photo contest, offering customers a fun, simple way to immortalize their moving day – and win $250.

SML customers who post a picture with #MovingMemories to Facebook or Twitter will automatically be entered to win a $250 gift card. In fact, because we like to keep things simple, even people who don’t work with SML but post a picture can bring home some cold, hard cash.

“Often, all people remember from moving day are the worst parts – a broken lamp shade, a friend smashing their foot carrying the couch, or trudging up three flights of stairs all day,” said SML President Matt McCullum. “We forget there are these almost indescribable great moments too – like that feeling when you walk into your new home for the first time. That’s what we want to capture and celebrate.”

The contest runs through 10/31. Here are some more details.

Moving often is seen as one of the top stress-inducing moments in a person’s life, right up there with marriage, divorce, and the loss of a loved one. The average American moves 11.7 times during their lifetime. This year alone, more than 43 million people will pack and move, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
