Steep Management, LLC,, has signed an agreement with Mountain Insight, LLC to be the sole marketing and sales rep to the ski industry in North America for LiftShack. LiftShack,, is a unique software program developed by Mountain Insight, LLC of Park City, Utah, providing an interactive dispatch system for mountain operations at ski resorts and paper free tracking and recording system for ski patrol incidents.

LiftShack was developed from a recognized need for the ability to connect live data about the status of activity on the mountain at a ski resort in one place and have the interface capability to keep management and the customer informed. Crucial mountain information can be accessed from any device with internet access, via web browser or mobile app, using unique credentials to keep resort data safe and secure.    This can provide a ski resort’s website with real time status of ski lifts, trail openings and closings and status of special events on the mountain.

Incident management was added to LiftShack to expand the versatility of the program for mountain operations. This functionality allows either the mountain dispatch or ski patrol dispatch to track incidents as they occur throughout the operating day. Not only are the incidents being tracked, details of the incident are being captured and recorded providing management with valuable data enabling metric feedback on mountain operations and types and locations of on hill accidents.

Steep Management, LLC has been in search of a software product that fit the attributes that LiftShack performs. Bob Ackland, founder of Steep Management, LLC, says that LiftShack is exactly the tool Steep wanted to add to its portfolio alongside MountainOffice,, a maintenance and document organizing software program specifically designed for ski resorts. LiftShack brings another tool enabling mountain operations at ski resorts to gain significant efficiency and productive according to Ackland.

Steep Management, LLC founded in 2014 concentrates its efforts solely in the ski resort and ski community arena offering technology tools that are focused on training, safety, tracking and maintaining productivity for Mountain Operations. The principal of Steep is Bob Ackland a retired ski area executive with over 40 years’ experience in the outdoor recreation industry, 20 of that in the ski resort management field.

Mountain Insight, LLC is a newly formed company based in Park City, Utah, headed by Chris Neville, an IT professional with 10 years’ experience in the IT world at ski resorts, including Canyons and Vail Resorts. Mountain Insight LLC also provides custom software solutions to ski resorts and other tourism based enterprises.
