Sheridan Healthcare Anesthesiologist to Present at Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development Conference
SUNRISE, Fla. (PRWEB) September 30, 2014 -- Sheridan Healthcare, Inc., the leading anesthesia services provider in the nation, today announced that Adam Blomberg, MD, the national education director for Sheridan Healthcare’s anesthesiology division, will present at the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development’s annual conference, SHSMD Connections 2014. The conference will be held October 12-15 in San Diego, California.
SHSMD Connections is a four-day conference that draws in more than 1,000 professionals each year. The event gathers healthcare marketing, communications and strategic planning professionals from across the nation.
Dr. Blomberg and Jeffry Peters, president and CEO of Surgical Directions, will jointly present a session entitled “Transforming Your OR for the Era of Falling Payments and Rising Quality Expectations.” The presentation will cover tactics for surgery departments facing shrinking reimbursement and tightening quality requirements to turn their practices into highly profitable machines. With case studies from Memorial Regional Hospital in south Florida and NYU Langone Medical, participants will receive tools to evaluate current operating room performance and learn strategies to erase performance gaps. The presentation is scheduled for Monday, October 13 from 11:30am-12:30pm PT.

Dr. Blomberg is the national education director for Sheridan Healthcare’s anesthesia division. He serves on the Anesthesia Quality Committee at Sheridan, as the co-chair of the Clinical Education and Best Practice Subcommittee. He is also the vice chief of anesthesiology at Memorial Regional Hospital, Sheridan Healthcare’s flagship anesthesia practice in Hollywood, Florida. Dr. Blomberg completed his anesthesiology training at Brigham & Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston. He is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine.
