Wilmington, NC (PRWEB) October 01, 2014 -- The Brigade Boys & Girls Club is excited to announce a partnership with Live Oak Bank to help provide after-school programming to local youth. From October 1st through December 31st 2014, Live Oak Bank will match any donation to the Club up to $25,000.
The Brigade Boys & Girls Club currently serves over 1,300 youth annually in their sites in New Hanover and Pender County, but have the capacity to serve more. With the assistance of this matching grant, the Club will be able to offer additional scholarships to families in need as well as assist with the daily snack program and provide additional programming. The cost to provide a one-year sponsorship (including transportation) for the Club’s after-school program is $900.
“This is a great opportunity to our Club to serve additional children that may receive little-to-no after school programming,” said Brigade Boys & Girls Club Chief Professional Officer Jeff Green. “This is an opportunity for the community to help us double the impact of Live Oak Bank’s gift.”
“Investing in our community’s youth has always been a top priority for the bank,” stated Lee Williams, Vice-Chairman of Live Oak Bank. “We hope that both individuals and local companies in the area will open their hearts and wallets in a joint effort to provide a safe, educational after-school environment for these children.”
