Yoga Ugo Announces Fall Funding Event to Benefit Bent On Learning
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 30, 2014 -- Yoga mat sling and fashion design company Yoga Ugo is excited to announce an upcoming Tee-Spring social campaign fundraising initiative that will benefit a NYC-based organization that teaches yoga to inner city youth. The event will take place online this fall.
Yoga Ugo created this online fundraiser that will feature Yoga Ugo and Bent on Learning on t-shirts for sale that benefit the children of the five boroughs of NYC.
“Everyone on the Yoga Ugo team is ecstatic and really excited about this project; what Bent on Learning has created is truly profound and inspiring to all who love yoga and love kids," said Yoga Ugo founder, Susi Lacoff Resner.
They aren’t the only ones. Lisa Greenblatt Binderow, of YogaWorks in NYC, says that, "I love the Bent On Learning Mission, the hard working board members who welcome anyone who wants to help with open arms, the dedicated Bent On Learning teachers, and of course the kids!" on the aloha.com website. Furthermore, Yoga Ugo’s initiative is just one event that benefits Bent on Learning; there are a number of fundraisers that take place around NYC to help raise money for the organization.
Bent on Learning started as a small volunteer group in 2001 that was comprised of yoga teachers who wanted to teach yoga to urban children. In the aftermath of September 11, the organization grew rapidly after New Visions for Public Schools asked Bent on Learning to provide lessons to youths in NYC public schools to help them heal and deal with post-traumatic stress. Bent on Learning has expanded to serve all five boroughs.
Yoga Ugo is a New York-based company led by founder Susi Lacoff Resner offering elegant and functional slings for carrying yoga mats. In addition to the Tee-Spring event, Yoga Ugo plans to launch a video campaign featuring Resner, who will discuss why she founded the company and what the company is up to this holiday season. Resner and her micro pet line, The Beardie Bag will also be featured in NY Pets magazine next month.
