Father-Daughter Cycling Duo to Ride Cross-Country to Benefit Hope For The Warriors
Blaine, WA (PRWEB) October 01, 2014 -- Two bicyclists began a journey on September 8, 2014 that will take them across the country in an effort to raise funds and awareness to the needs of today’s military families. The cyclists, a father-daughter team, plan to bike more than 4,000 miles across 12 states, beginning in Blaine, Washington and finishing in Key West Florida. Funds raised along their trip will benefit Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.
Dean and Taryn Hatcher will be sharing information about Hope For The Warriors® as their family members ride alongside of them in a mobile home adorned with information about their trip. Their fundraising goal is to raise $20,000 for Hope For The Warriors®. More information about their route can be found on their Facebook page, Save It For The Day.
“We are always amazed by the creative ways supporters decide to advocate for our military,” said Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® president. “This trip will be such a unique experience for this family, and its impact will benefit so many military families. On their behalf, we are extremely grateful to Dean and Taryn.”
The team is seeking donations to support their mission to honor service members and military families. To learn more and donate to Hope For The Warriors® on behalf of the riders, visit their fundraising page at http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org/SaveItForTheDay.
