I heard one Badger fan say that they would soon forget the collegiate football win from that day but the memory of The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship would stay with them forever!
Madison, WI (PRWEB) October 02, 2014
Ian’s Pizza has developed into one of the most newsworthy and recognized pizza restaurants because of their dedication to high quality food, community involvement and creative menu and in 2013, Ian’s Pizza became the home of both the only officially sanctioned National Pizza Competitive Eating Championship and the new World Pizza Eating Record (12.9 slices of pizza from a 24 inch pizza eaten in 10 minutes and totaling 6.85 pounds). This year’s Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship scheduled to take place on October 11th on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin promises to be an extremely exciting event that features some of the most talented Professional Competitive Eaters from all over the country. The Eating Championship will again be officially sanctioned by All Pro Eating and will award $2,250.00 in prize money.
“Last year at The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship the entire City of Madison, Wisconsin was overwhelmed and astonished after witnessing a new World Pizza Eating Record be established by #1 Ranked Eater, Molly Schuyler. After celebrating a UW Badger football win earlier in the day, the crowd was even more rambunctious during the world’s only officially sanctioned Pizza Competitive Eating Championship. I heard one Badger fan say that they would soon forget the collegiate football win from that day but the memory of The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship would stay with them forever!” said Todd Greenwald, Chairman of All Pro Eating. He continued, “Ian’s Pizza brings pizza dreams to life with the pizzas they serve and it is absolutely fitting that they have brought to life what is one of the biggest Independent Competitive Eating Championships in the world. We may not see a new World Pizza Eating Record but I guarantee that we will see some of the greatest smiles in the world from the Eaters because they each get to eat as much Ian’s Pizza as they possibly can!”
The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship is part of a whole day event on State Street in Madison that includes live music and the Ian’s Pizza Annual Amateur Pizza Eating Championship that is an amazing contest for every Ian’s Pizza lover.
The line-up for The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship includes the current National Pizza Eating Champion, current World Pizza Eating Record holder and #1 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, Molly Schuyler from California. She’ll be defending her title against #3 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, Tom “Goose” Gilbert from Nevada; #4 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, David “Tiger Wings and Things” Brunelli from Pennsylvania and #6 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, Stephanie “Xanadu” Torres from New Mexico. In addition to these featured eaters, there are over five other participants looking to win the National Pizza Eating Champion title and possibly keep the title in Wisconsin.
