Dunn Physical Therapy Adds Dry Needling Service at Cary Clinic
Cary, NC (PRWEB) October 02, 2014 -- Dunn Physical Therapy (Dunn PT) is proud to announce the addition of a new service, Trigger Point Dry Needling, to their Cary clinic, located at 981 High House Road, Suite 100.
Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is the insertion of a small gauge needle into “trigger points” on the body to directly treat the neuromuscular system. It causes favorable biochemical changes that help the body manage acute and chronic pain, as well as muscle dysfunction. Clinical research has shown that TDN can immediately improve range of motion and function, while decreasing pain. TDN is always used as part of a comprehensive manual physical therapy plan.
Dunn PT owner Christopher Dunn, who has advanced orthopaedic certificates and is board certified, recently completed the required training to become a practitioner in North Carolina through Double E PT Education and joins David Mills, MPT, who practices TDN from Dunn’s Apex location, as a credentialed practitioner of trigger point dry needling.
“We’re thrilled to be offering trigger point dry needling in Cary,” said Christopher Dunn, PT, OCS, CERT-MDT, CMP, TDN practitioner. “A number of Dunn PT patients in Apex have experienced great success with TDN and we look forward to seeing how our patients in Cary will benefit from the service.”
Dunn Physical Therapy patients can expect to be seen within 24 hours of injury by an expert in injury prevention and treatment. If you suffer from low back pain, cervicogenic headaches, carpal tunnel, patellar tendonitis, and more, TDN may be a part of a treatment plan that’s suitable for you.
