Teneno launches Beta solution with selected customers

Teneno (http://www.teneno.com), a new provider of networking-on-demand solutions for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), today announced it has joined HP’s AllianceONE partner program. Under the agreement, Teneno will deploy HP’s industry-leading Software-defined Networking (SDN) capabilities as part of its secure, cloud-based networking services which make enterprise-grade telecommunication services an affordable proposition for SMEs. The Beta is in trial with a selection of SMEs in the United Kingdom (U.K.).

“After 20 years’ experience in the telecoms industry, it was clear that the playing ground was not level: SMEs simply had no access to the enterprise-grade networking infrastructure that bigger companies took for granted – and that was a situation that Teneno was created to remedy,” said Jean Salha, CEO and co-founder of Teneno. “HP has been a leader in SDN from the very start and building our solution around their hardware and switching capabilities was an easy decision. Joining the AllianceONE program enables us to take advantage of the market reach of such an established industry titan.”

Teneno enables SMEs to take control of their IT network with a subscription-based service delivered at a fraction of the cost of traditional providers. The Teneno solution integrates HP’s SDN capabilities and eCode’s Orchestration engine to deliver enterprise-class network capabilities as a service. The solution focuses on the core areas of security, network and device management and all aspects of the service are managed via a simple dashboard. Offices, employees and devices can be managed wherever they are in the world and SMEs can easily add services as their needs grow.

Alex Hughes, Operation Manager, The Union Group said, "As with many expanding businesses in our industry, we have multiple sites dotted around Central London. We currently use different software on different hardware, purchased at different times by different people. Providing a secure way for all of these to all be accessed remotely by outsourced accountants, owners, and managers has proven constantly challenging. To have someone who can connect all of these elements in a secure, reliable and affordable way is a ray of light, allowing me to focus on what I'm good at and grow the business.”

“Customers are increasingly demanding more from their network architectures as mobility, virtualization, HD video, collaboration tools and cloud computing continue to impact the enterprise,” said Michael Zhu, Senior Director Global Solutions & Alliances, HP Networking. “Integrating Teneno into our partner program with HP FlexNetwork capabilities allows SME customers to utilize open and standards-based SDN technology to automatically tune the network to meet application and business needs.”
