PhlebotomyTrainingSpot.com Announces California 2014 Best Phlebotomy Education Award Winners
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- Phlebotomytrainingspot.com, a leading, nationwide resource for phlebotomists and phlebotomy related information, announces the 2014 Best Phlebotomy Education award winners for the state of California, the second-annual awards program led by the organization. The first group of the 2014 Phlebotomy Education Awards recognizes the best phlebotomy programs in the state of California from the following regions: San Diego, Central Valley, Los Angeles, Inland Empire and Bay Area.
California is one of the few states in the country requiring phlebotomists to be licensed through the state government. Students are required to have a minimum amount of classroom and clinical time during their training as well as pass a recognized examination. Programs must be approved through the state government to be able to offer phlebotomy education to students.
Voting occurred through the span of several months of May through August. All notable programs in their respective areas were open for nomination and voting. The final winners were determined based upon several factors, including voting tallies, program reputation, job placement and program structure.
“In no other state is it more important to choose the right phlebotomy education program,” says Steve Roberts, Founder of PhlebotomyTrainingSpot.com, “This year's winners exemplified what it means to provide quality education to students. These phlebotomy programs have shown great dedication to educating and enhancing the careers of students and healthcare workers.”
This year's winners from the first phase of the 2014 Best Phlebotomy Education awards program are as follows:
Bay Area: Bay Area Medical Academy
Central Valley: KP School of Allied Health Sciences
Inland Empire: AUMT Institute
Los Angeles: Phlebotomy Training Specialists
San Diego: EMSTA College
Congratulations to this year's winners. While every program is more than deserving, these programs were exemplified by their strong support from not only current students and staff, but also from former students and community members.
