Decosimo Earns Prestigious CSO50 Award from IDG’s CSO Magazine
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (PRWEB) October 02, 2014 -- Decosimo, a Top 100 regional public accounting and advisory firm, is proud to announce the firm has been named as a member of the 2014 CSO50 by IDG’s CSO Magazine. Chosen by a panel of information technology experts, the CSO50 is presented to 50 organizations which have demonstrated that their security projects and initiatives have created outstanding business value and thought leadership for their companies.
Decosimo earned the CSO50 distinction for the firm’s implementation of the Sharefile Secure File Transfer system, which focused on creating data rooms, electronic collaboration areas and short-term client portals. Through the process of replacing the firm’s legacy system with the Sharefile Secure File Transfer system, Decosimo established a cutting-edge platform that provided faster and more secure access to files with the ability to integrate other data management products within the new system.
“The CSO50 award represents a commitment to excellence and a commitment to discover innovative solutions, and we are thrilled to be among the recipients of this prestigious award,” said firm-wide Managing Principal Nick Decosimo.“Our entire IT team is dedicated to finding and implementing the most effective solutions to assist our clients and our associates. The CSO50 is an honor that speaks to Decosimo’s desire to provide our clients and our associates with the kind of tools that can make a true difference.”
Through the use of the Citrix Sharefile platform, Decosimo was able to integrate the firm’s e-mail, document management and electronic signature systems, enabling a secure streamlined portal and file transfer processes across a line of the firm’s applications while dramatically reducing related IT help desk requests. The ability to quickly build secure and manageable portals along with data rooms created greater efficiencies for Decosimo and its clients.
“Throughout the implementation process, we sought to deliver a secure method of transferring and requesting files in an effort to exceed our clients’ desire for an easily navigable portal,” said Brian Joyce, Director of IT Security for Decosimo. “One of our main missions is to be responsive to the needs of our clients, our prospects and our associates. To know that through this process we were able to accomplish those goals and earn a place within the CSO50 list is extremely gratifying and quite humbling.”
In recognizing a select group of organizations for security projects and initiatives that demonstrate outstanding business value, the CSO50 Awards are scored according to a uniform set of criteria by a panel of judges that includes security leaders, industry experts, and academics.
“For the third year in a row, outstanding organizations demonstrating innovation, creativity and understanding of business value in security were chosen from a large pool of submissions." said Joan Goodchild, editor, CSO. "We congratulate this year's CSO50 winners and applaud them for setting the bar high for security's role in providing value and ROI in business."
Decosimo will accept its award at the CSO50 Security Confab + Awards conference held on February 23-25, 2015 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, Amelia Island, Florida.
