Prominis Medical Services Hosts a "Beat the Flu" Party
Brooklyn, New York (PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- Prominis wants to see if the Bedford-Stuyvesant community can work together to beat the flu for the 2014-2015 flu season.
New York State has suffered through intense flu epidemics, with numbers of infected people climbing higher than 30,000. Healthcare workers across the state have been making every effort to encourage people to get vaccinated.
Prominis is throwing a party to promote the safety and importance of the vaccine.
Through collaboration with local groups, Prominis Medical Services is asking the residents of Bedford-Stuyvesant and surrounding neighborhoods to stop by the clinic located at 297 Marcus Garvey Blvd on Tuesday, September 21st from 11am-2pm. Attendees can get the flu vaccine, and also take home fruits and vegetables, courtesy of City Harvest. Complimentary vitamins will be given to attendees who receive the vaccination, and food and refreshments will be available.
Members of the Prominis staff hope that local residents will come to the event and make a party out of getting vaccinated.
