Equal Earth Sponsors 2015 Race Across America as Part of Public Awareness Campaign Promoting Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 02, 2014 -- Equal Earth, a global diversified clean energy company, today announced that the company signed on as a sponsor of the 2015 Race Across America (RAAM) to promote increased public awareness for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. The Equal Earth team is proud to sponsor distinguished rider and athlete, Matt Hoffmann, who qualified for RAAM after his successful completion of the Race Across the West earlier this year.
The Race Across America is widely recognized as the world’s toughest endurance bicycle race. Started in 1982 as the “Great American Bicycle Race,” RAAM is an ultra-marathon race with a challenging course spanning more than 3,000 miles across the continental United States.
To manage the inaugural Equal Earth team, the company is partnering with CCSD, a premier sports event management company, to manage logistics for Matt Hoffmann, an accomplished rider, who will race under the Equal Earth flag. The race will commence in Oceanside, California, on June 16, 2015, and end in Annapolis, Maryland, on June 28, 2015.
“We are working to change how we power the world and believe that every single person has the ability to positively impact our environment,” stated Equal Earth Chairman, President and CEO, Andrew Duggan. “Matt Hoffmann represents how one person can make a significant impact and overcome obstacles when committed to a cause. Equal Earth is proud to participate in the Race Across America and support Matt Hoffmann in this incredible athletic journey and his efforts to educate communities about sustainability,” added Duggan.
“We are excited to head up logistics for Matt as he prepares for and races under the Equal Earth flag,” said Robert Panzera, President of CCSD, who has joined forces with Equal Earth and will serve as the Crew Chief for Matt Hoffmann RAAM. “Matt is an incredible athlete with an amazing ability to touch a lot of people’s lives -- whether it’s taking on what appears to be an insurmountable athletic challenge, or promoting a cause that makes this world a better place,” commented Panzera.
To kick of the 2015 RAAM season, Equal Earth and CCSD will be holding a launch party for the racing community in San Diego next month. To learn more about the upcoming November launch party and RAAM updates, follow us on Twitter at @equalearthcorp and @ccsdcycling.
