Parkview Regional Hospital and Ennis Regional Medical Center Launch National Search for New CEO
MEXIA and ENNIS, Texas (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- Parkview Regional Hospital and Ennis Regional Medical Center announced today that Kevin Zachary will step down from his position as chief executive officer (CEO) of both facilities, effective October 31, 2014. Zachary, who has served as CEO of Parkview Regional since 2011 and CEO of Ennis Regional since 2013, is leaving to be CEO of Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, West Va., another hospital within the LifePoint Hospitals® network.
“We are grateful to Kevin for his stellar leadership of both Parkview Regional and Ennis Regional and are excited for him to continue serving LifePoint in his new post at Logan Regional Medical Center,” said Robert Klein, chief operating officer (COO) of LifePoint Hospitals’ Central Group, of which Parkview Regional Hospital and Ennis Regional Medical Center are a part.
“We are working in partnership with both hospitals’ boards to ensure strong leadership moving forward. A national search to find the right candidate to lead Parkview Regional and Ennis Regional into the future has been launched,” added Klein.
After assuming the top leadership role at Parkview in 2011, Zachary was responsible for integrating the two facilities under one management team in 2013, a transition that resulted in numerous efficiencies as well as improved patient and physician satisfaction. He also successfully recruited seven primary care physicians and seven specialists to the area during his tenure.
“I am not surprised that Kevin has been identified as a strong leader within LifePoint, as he has been a great CEO for Ennis Regional,” said Michael J. Montgomery, chairman of the Ennis Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees. “Almost two years ago, Kevin was charged with combining the leadership for both Ennis Regional and Parkview Regional, and he has been highly successful in doing this while maintaining the quality and integrity of both facilities. There will be a significant void left by his departure, but we have a great partnership with LifePoint and the Board knows we will work together to find a qualified replacement.”
John Stubbs, chairman of the Parkview Regional Hospital Board of Trustees, added, “We feel a great sense of loss as Kevin moves on to his next role, but we are very happy he is advancing within LifePoint. We wish him the best of luck in his new endeavor.”
