TMT World Deal of the Year shortlist features $175 billion of telco M&A for bumper 2014
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 4 October 2014 -- The shortlist for the TMT World Deal of the Year 2014 – M&A has been announced by TMT Finance, the global news and events business, and features over US$175 billion worth of mergers and acquisitions involving telecom operators over the past 12 months.
The six deals that made the final shortlist are: Vodafone’s E7.2bn acquisition of Spanish cable operator Ono; Numericable’s E13.5bn takeover of French mobile operator SFR; Etisalat’s E4.1bn acquisition of Maroc Telecom; Telefonica’s purchase of EPlus in Germany; Liberty Global’s E4.9bn deal to buy Dutch cableco Ziggo; and Vodafone’s E101bn exit from Verizon Wireless.
Investment banking advisers featured include: Credit Agricole, Lazard, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi, Guggenheim Partners, Goldman Sachs, HSBC and UBS.
The winners, along with eight other categories, including TMT IPO of the Year, M&A Adviser, CEO and Innovation will be presented at the TMT World Awards dinner, at the London Hilton on Park Lane on November 18 following the TMT World Congress. http://www.tmtfinance.com/world
