L. Ron Hubbard's Illustrators of the Future Contest Winner from 2013 Lands First Cover Art
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) October 02, 2014 -- Joshua Meehan of Tuscon, Arizona, and 2013 winner of the international L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future contest, announced his first cover art with Analog magazine.
As a winner of the contest, Joshua was flown to Hollywood where he attended a week-long workshop and had a chance to meet and work with contest judges and past winners of the contest who lent a hand in the activities of the week. One such former writer winner, Brad Torgersen, (2010) was impressed by Meehan's distinct style of art.
Meehan was introduced to Analog magazine by Torgersen as Brad had published numerous stories with Analog. Meehan has been doing interiors for the magazine for over a year at which point the magazine art director asked that he create a cover for the upcoming November issue.
The cover art is based on the story "Persephone Descending" by Derek Kunsken. The November issue of Analog is now available in Barnes and Noble stores and on Amazon.com
