"The SeeSpace team has developed a great user experience that really makes the Lingospot metacontent standout"

Lingospot, a leading provider of automatic scene-level TV metatags and metacontent, announced a partnership today with SeeSpace Ltd, the company that created the first “Augmented TV” experience.
inAiR, the flagship product of SeeSpace, combines Emmy Award-winning design expertise and next generation technology to create a rich, dynamic and animated viewer experience using the main TV screen as well as the space between the screen and the viewer. The inAiR experience is designed to work with any existing TV, including regular 2D, 3D and 4k Ultra HD. The only hardware needed is the small inAiR device. Consumers simply plug this device between their TV and set-top box via HDMI and can start enjoying the inAir Augmented TV experience straight away.
Thanks to the recent partnership, Lingospot’s metacontent technology will be powering this Augmented TV experience for inAiR’s live TV broadcasts. Lingospot uses patented natural language processing, semantic search, image analysis and machine learning technologies to analyze multiple modalities of a TV station’s broadcast in order to automatically extract metadata. It then enhances TV viewing by providing additional relevant metacontent — such as articles, photos, tweets and celebrity profiles — to second screen and Smart TV applications. Lingospot’s scene-level metacontent leverages the company’s extensive network of relationships and integrations it with thousands of content sources from across the web.
“We are excited to be part of the inAiR launch, a revolutionary new way to consume synched-to-TV content,” said Nikos Iatropoulos, CEO and co-founder of Lingospot. “The SeeSpace team has developed a great user experience that really makes the Lingospot metacontent standout without distracting from the consumption of the main TV content.”
“The metacontent technology provided by Lingospot is key to enable inAiR to surface the most relevant and up-to-date internet information alongside broadcast content,” said Nam Do, CEO of SeeSpace. “Lingospot’s expertise in natural language processing and semantic search brings significant value to our inAiR product.”
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, the first inAiR devices are expected to ship in November 2014 and will give TV viewers a unique and interesting way to deepen their TV viewing experience with metacontent provided by Lingospot.
Founded in 2007, Lingospot is an automatic, scene-level metadata and metacontent provider. The company’s software analyzes multiple modalities of TV broadcasts to automatically extract what’s occurring inside each scene. It also recommends relevant, supplemental content that enhances the primary broadcast. Powered by patented natural language processing, semantic search, image analysis and machine learning, Lingospot offers its service to TV and cable networks, multichannel video programming distributers, over-the-top TV providers, TV manufacturers and application developers who wish to better tag their video assets, or add a new dimension of companion content to enhance TV video consumption.
SeeSpace was founded in 2013 by Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and Hollywood entertainment experts to reinvent the way we watch TV. The company’s flagship product, inAiR, isa multi-dimensional viewer interface providing the world’s first Augmented TV experience. The inAiR interface blends TV content with relevant content from the open Internet, displaying both content on the same screen in a completely intuitive way. There is no second screen to juggle – inAiR uses the main TV screen to layer additional sources of web-based information, thus enriching the TV viewer’s experience.
