Roof4Roof wins the Great Oak Award, honoring New Jersey's most generous companies
(PRWEB) October 05, 2014 -- On September 30th, 2014, New Jersey Monthly Magazine saluted business leaders committed to making contributions to the community at the Jersey Choice Great Oak Awards held at The Palace at Somerset Park, New Jersey. Fifty-six finalists from various industries were recognized as "committed pillars of their communities that give back in unique and impressive ways."
Among a distinguished group of fifteen businesses, Chuck Anania and Roof4Roof, headquartered at 360 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, NJ, won the award in the small business category for donating over six thousand volunteer hours and over one hundred thousand dollars in 2013.
Roof4Roof has a very unique business model with a strong social mission. With every new roof purchased, Roof4Roof gives free roofing to a family in need in the U.S. and abroad. For the last four years, Roof4Roof has helped over one hundred families each year in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colombia, Guatemala and the Philippines. Their goal in 2015 is to help over 500 families and extend their reach into India and possibly Africa.
Chuck and his team will be visiting Colombia again this fall. It was on his first trip there that he was moved by the extreme poverty and living conditions that he saw and decided to make helping those in need his mission.
Roof4Roof has over twenty years of roofing experience. In recent years, they have aligned with Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together and several other charities and organizations to help make a significant difference in many families' lives.
