Renewable Energy Experts to Discuss State of Market, Financing Strategies During Annual Conference
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 04, 2014 -- Tax credit advocates are preparing for what is anticipated to be a congressional priority after midterm elections in November: tax extender legislation. At stake is the future of several key tax incentives that have played critical roles in the growth of the renewable energy market, including the investment tax credit (ITC) and production tax credit (PTC).
At the same time, more than 200 professionals are expected to gather and discuss how these issues affect the current state of the renewable energy investment market at the Novogradac Financing Renewable Energy Conference in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 6-7, 2014. The two-day conference at the Park Hyatt Washington, D.C. will feature panels of developers, investors, lenders, attorneys, accountants and other industry professionals who will examine various industry issues, including innovative financing tactics and the need to attract new investors to renewables.
“As renewable energy experts explore different financing strategies, it’s crucial that they have the most up-to-date information on the legislative and market forces that drive project development in today’s market,” said Tony Grappone, CPA, conference chairman and partner in Novogradac & Company LLP’s Boston office. “I invite all of our industry colleagues to join us in Washington as we work together to help meet the growing need for renewable energy in our country.”
Attendees will have ample opportunity to network with renewable energy professionals, including active institutional tax equity investors, project developers, lenders and many other industry professionals and participants, during the numerous session breaks and a cocktail reception held Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A pre-conference workshop, Principles of Renewable Energy: A Structured Finance Primer, will focus on the state of the market, financing options beyond tax equity and structured finance principles. The workshop will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5. Pre-conference workshop registration is separate and optional. Additional fees apply.
The Novogradac Financing Renewable Energy Conference is co-hosted by Chadbourne & Parke LLP, Dentons and Nixon Peabody. Sponsors include Dudley Ventures, Ballard Spahr LLP, Foley & Lardner LLP, Foley Hoag LLP, Leverage Law LLC, National Trust Community Investment Corporation and Sol Systems.
