New PenFed Leadership Brings User Experience Into Sharp Focus
Alexandria, Va. (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- Pentagon Federal Credit Union’s (PenFed) creation of a user experience director’s position reflects its continuing commitment to investment in growth, innovation and brand awareness. The credit union’s newly-named director of user experience, Brandon Harris, is the latest addition to a growing leadership team whose number recently added corporate communications and business development executives. That team will focus its energy on achieving PenFed’s goal $75 billion in assets during the next decade.
“It’s my pleasure to welcome Brandon to the PenFed family,” noted James Schenck, president and CEO.
“Enhancing the user experience will be a key, strategic component in developing a more satisfying online member experience; one that will ultimately allow us to reach our growth goals,” said Schenck. “I am confident that, in Brandon, we’ve found a superb team player who will help make this vision a successful reality.”
“Each of the three new executives will play a pivotal role in the execution of our growth strategy, but none will be going it alone. The business development, marketing and communications, and the user experience teams will work together toward common goals that include building brand awareness and effectively communicating and connecting with our employees, our membership base, and potential members.”
“Brandon is highly-skilled and experienced in the creation of masterfully-crafted digital experiences and he specializes in bringing a user-centered perspective to all electronic mediums,” said Schenck. Harris previously helped design products and user experiences for Microsoft, USA Today, Booz Allen Hamilton, Unisys, and the YMCA. Most recently Harris led user experience for Personify Inc.
As a practitioner with experience in developing corporate methodologies, leading quantitative and qualitative research, creating prototypes and information architecture, and developing new products, Harris’ hands-on experience bridges the gap between ideas and execution.
Harris is a nationally-recognized leader in his field. He has lectured at Arizona State, George Washington, George Mason, the national conference of the National Association of Black Journalists, and the Newspaper Association of America Foundation.
