14th Annual 30 Day Art Challenge Registration Open to all Local Artists
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) October 04, 2014 -- Calling all local artists! Time is running out to register and receive supplies for the 14th Annual 30 Day Art Challenge. All artists have until October 16 to register online at 30DayArtChallenge.com. A registration fee of $75 is required to enroll. Every participating artist will receive 30 identical canvases, each measuring 8" x 10". Artists must use the canvases provided and will turn in all 30 completed works on Thursday, November 20th.
The mission of the 30 Day Art Challenge is to engage and energize all types of artists to explore, create and exhibit new ideas. It's the ideal time for an artist to step out of his or her comfort zone and allow creative inspiration to flow while embracing new techniques and mediums. The challenge, an associated program of Shunpike, provides exhibit space for local artists to showcase their work and connect personally with the area's supportive and very active arts community. It's the ideal opportunity for any artist to show new work to friends, family and the public.
Artists help contribute to the cultural enrichment of the community by participating in the 30 Day Art Challenge. All work created for the event will be shown during an exhibition on December 4th at the Seattle Art Walk in Pioneer Square. This is an excellent opportunity for artists to enjoy an experience that facilitates a cultural exchange through visual display and personal interaction with patrons, enthusiasts, veteran artists and new, aspiring artists.
Since its inception 14 years ago, the 30 Day Art Challenge has inspired artists to create more than 10,000 original works of art. The challenge has provided an essential platform that is open to any artist and is designed to encourage and help artists grow, expand and open themselves to new ideas while connecting with a community that loves and appreciates diverse art forms. The 30 Day Art Challenge exhibition is free and open to the public.
Artists may sell their 30 Day Art Challenge pieces at the exhibition for $50 each, receiving two-thirds of all sales. Registration closes for the 30 Day Art Challenge on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Online registration is available at 30DayArtChallenge.com. For additional information, please contact Executive Director Andrew Buckles at 30DayArtChallenge(at)gmail(dot)com.
