"Every minute we train we are getting better and we are hopeful that our crowd funding program will help us stay focused on training and becoming the strongest athletes we can be"

Getting to the Rio Olympics isn't as easy as training hard and turning up for the victory.

Not only are David Hein and Jessica Claflin focused on making their yacht go faster but they've also found it's extremely expensive to be the best.

In recent times they have turned to their supporters to fund a new boat for the US Olympic trials and the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Hein and Claflin are fundraising through their usual channels but have also gone to the new sports crowd funding platform Dreamfunda.

Dreamfunda is designed specifically for athletes to raise money and achieve sporting goals.

This is a great fit for Hein and Claflin as they head through their grueling schedule.
