Cable Manufacturing & Assembly Co., Inc. (CMA), an industrial leader in the cable industry, has announced its merger with Cabco, Inc. The two companies are now under one enterprise based in Bolivar Ohio. While the new entity will retain the CMA name, it will continue to operate two different product lines - Mechanical Cables and Controls, and Conductive Assemblies. The combined company will provide more efficient, comprehensive cable solutions to all customers by creating and utilizing a more effective and responsive operating structure.

For over 40 years, CMA has been contributing to the design and production of quality mechanical and conductive cable assemblies for the Transportation, Furniture, Recreational Products and Medical industries. The new structure will provide a greater number of employees to better serve the company’s customer base. By leveraging the skill sets of the people, facilities, processes, systems, and suppliers across three manufacturing sites, both response time and productivity will be improved.

“The consolidation of our two product lines, Mechanical Cables and Controls and Conductive Assemblies, means better service for everyone,” said Keith Lindsey, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for CMA. “It will allow CMA to use our common resources to deliver more efficient, comprehensive, and innovative cabling solutions; positioning CMA uniquely as a total cable solutions provider.”

In the short amount of time that has passed since the July 1 merger, improvements have already started to generate new opportunities with existing customers and new customers for both product lines. “This merger is just the beginning of a much bigger goal of enhancing the way cabling is received and used,” said Lindsey. “We look forward to CMA’s future, and continuing to offer comprehensive cable solutions to our customers.”
