Titled “Maintenance Required: Repairing Warranty Management in Automotive Aftermarket,” the webinar will be co-presented by Rob Zomok, Inmar’s senior director of supply chain performance analytics, and Dave Miller, vice president of marketing, Gates Corporation. The discussion will focus on helping automotive aftermarket parts suppliers, discussing best practices, recent learnings and gains. Additionally, they will explore possibilities for helping aftermarket auto parts makers and auto parts retailers collaborate to find warranty-policy balance that serves efficiency, discipline and cost management in the reverse supply chain. Miller will discuss metrics, value points and learnings toward short-term handling cost reduction and substantial long-term savings. The discussion will examine development of best practices for warranty returns management and draw from gains that can be benchmarked from other industries facing similar warranty challenges in a retail environment where increasingly liberal retail returns policies can be extremely costly for all players throughout the supply chain continuum.
