On Top Visibility Donates Money and Web Support to Pearl S. Meyers Foundation
Hauppauge, NY (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- On August 20, On Top Visibility has pledged a donation to the Pearl S. Meyers Memorial Foundation, a new Not-For-Profit organization on Long Island that will be supporting nursing students and the nursing community.
Says On Top Visibility general manager John Diaz: “The focus of the charity and its approach to philanthropy really struck a chord with us.”
"The gentleman who runs the foundation, Bruce Meyers, wanted to create something that would honor both the memory of his mother and her life long career in nursing," explains Diaz. Meyers' mother Pearl passed away in 2013, and the foundation bearing her name was created earlier this year.
The money raised by the Pearl S. Meyers Memorial Foundation will go to scholarship assistance for individuals studying to be nurses, as well as to awards and grants for individuals who are making positive strides in the Long Island nursing community. The funds will also support research that will help nurses ease suffering and prevent disease.
Diaz has personal motivations to support the cause as well. "My daughter is a nurse, so I felt a certain connection to this foundation," he says. "I know how hard she works." According to Diaz, the donation has had a very positive impact on the company.
The company's support won't end with the donation. On Top Visibility is also building a website for the Foundation. The design process started at the end of July and will hopefully be completed by mid-October.
On Top Visibility has been providing basic web development, social media assistance, and SEO to small and medium-sized businesses in the greater New York City area from their headquarters in Hauppauge, NY for three years.
The company's support won't end with the donation. On Top Visibility is also building a website for the Pearl S. Meyers Foundation. The design process started at the end of July and will hopefully be completed by mid-October.
