European cable operators Com Hem of Sweden, Numericable of France and Luxembourg-based Altice SA have made the shortlist for TMT IPO of the Year at the TMT World Awards which will be presented in London on November 18.

European cable operators Com Hem of Sweden, Numericable of France and Luxembourg-based Altice SA have made the shortlist for TMT IPO of the Year at the TMT World Awards which will be presented in London on November 18.

Internet companies Alibaba and Weibo of China and Twitter of the USA also made the shortlist for TMT IPO of the Year 2014. The Awards, which are produced by global news and events business TMT Finance, recognise outstanding investment activity by telecom, media and tech companies and their financial partners and advisers.

The investment banking advisers featured on the IPO shortlist are: Citi, Credit Agricole, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Jefferies, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Rothschild.

The winners will be presented at the TMT World Awards Dinner at the Hilton Park Lane, London on November 18, along with eight other categories including TMT Deal of the Year (Mergers and Acquisitions), M&A Adviser, Financing Bank, Growth Story, Innovation (Infrastructure and Services) and Legal Advisers. http://www.tmtfinance.com/world/awards

Market valuation at listing US$170bn (E133bn)

  •     Altice SA IPO: Raised E911m ($1156m) on Euronext Amsterdam, January 2014

Market valuation at listing of E5.7bn (£7.2bn)

  •     Numericable IPO: Raised E750m ($952mon the NYSE Euronext Paris in November 2013.

  •     Com Hem Holding IPO: Raised US$853m on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Exchange, June 2014.

  •     Twitter IPO: Raised US$1.8bn on NYSE, November 2013

Market valuation at listing of US$14.2bn.

  •     Weibo IPO: Raised US$286m (E225.40m) on the Nasdaq USA, April 2014.
