Annual Auction to benefit Camp Loyaltown, a special needs camp in upstate New York

More than 200 friends are expected to once again support Camp Loyaltown’s 19th Auction on Thursday, October 16th at the Inn at New Hyde Park.

This year, the Auction will recognize Dr. Stanley Katz, Chairman of the Department of Cardiology, Director of the Cardiac Catherization Lab and Senior VP of the Cardiac Catherization Lab of the North Shore-LIJ Health System. The event also recognizes the efforts of the volunteer group The Giving Tree Family who were instrumental in helping to prepare Camp Loyaltown for the summer season.

The evening will include a silent auction and a live auction featuring fabulous vacation packages, a “Destination Anywhere” seven-day cruise, opera tickets, jewelry and sports memorabilia. There is also a 1 in 100 limited raffle for a vacation getaway for two to one of three destinations.

The Auction is responsible for providing capital funding for projects such as an infirmary, a specially engineered, solar heated handicapped-accessible swimming pool, newly paved roads to allow wheelchair accessibility throughout the Camp and an all new mini-golf course.
