Lean Six Sigma Executive Search Firm Adds Contract Staffing to its Service Offerings
NORWALK, Conn. (PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- Known for its extensive pipeline of highly specialized talent in the Lean Six Sigma niche, Staff Providers, LLC, can now place those candidates in contract positions.
Established more than a dozen years ago in Norwalk, Conn., the firm is highly specialized, focusing on Lean Six Sigma Black Belts, Master Black Belts, Lean Masters, and ASQ Certified (Quality) candidates. They place these candidates as Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, Consultants, and more in global manufacturing corporations, mid-sized companies, healthcare systems, hospitals, and start-ups nationwide.
Co-Founders Lisa and Howard Chubinsky rely heavily on their own database and pride themselves on their traditional phone sourcing techniques.
“We just pulled in a new client this week,” Lisa Chubinsky said. “What really prompted him to call us was that he saw we are hardcore, traditional recruiters. We are on the phone all day making calls to candidates, and he found that refreshing. A lot of recruiting firms aren’t as proactive. They react to what comes in their inboxes, which is usually a barrage of resumes. We like to have more control over the search and build lists.”
Staff Providers was originally a healthcare staffing firm, but the couple decided to shift their focus to direct hire several years ago. They are now reinstating contract staffing services to meet the demands of their clients, who are gravitating toward contractors as the economy improves.
“Companies have been resistant to hire,” said Howard Chubinsky. “They want to just dip their toes in as they try to expand. They want to put a person in a position and see how they do before they make that direct hire commitment.”
Their new services are also proving to be popular with a number of candidates.
“We work with candidates who have been working on contract for years and have created very attractive resumes with all of that experience,” Lisa Chubinsky said. “A lot of people like it, and why not? They are able to use and develop their skills in different industries, and they like the variety of work. Years ago, they couldn’t do that because they needed benefits. They would have to spend too much money on a catastrophic health insurance plan. Now they can work on contract and actually get great benefits at group rates.”
Staff Providers’ contractors can access those benefits through the contract staffing back-office services of Top Echelon Contracting, Inc. (TEC). As the legal employees of TEC, the contractors are offered a rich benefits package that includes healthcare insurance that meets Affordable Care Act Standards; dental, vision, and life insurance; and 401(k). The contractors are also covered by TEC’s Unemployment insurance and Workers’ Compensation policy. TEC handles all of the legal, financial, and administrative details of Staff Providers’ contract placements.
The Chubinskys are excited by the potential of their new contract staffing services.
“After every successful perm search, we mention to our clients that we do contracting,” Howard Chubinsky said. “Sometimes that immediately leads to an exploration of their contract needs. There’s no limit to our growth.”
