Mystery/Thriller authors, Peter Parkin and Alison Darby, have just released their fifth novel, 'Serpentine;' a story that will grab readers from the very first chapter and refuse to let go until the very last line. 'Serpentine,' as with the four novels that preceded it, is an original story. There are no repeat characters or continuing story lines. Each of the five novels is unique in its own right.

"Originality is the juice that drives me as an author," says Parkin. "I'm not saying that I'll never do a sequel, but to my current frame of mind as a writer, when a story is over, it's over. Dragging it along into yet one more book seems like a cop-out to me. The fun, for me, is creating brand new characters and stories each time I write."

For Parkin, a Canadian, 'Serpentine' is his fifth novel. In writing his last three books, however, he has collaborated with England's Alison Darby as his co-author.

"Alison and I both have vivid imaginations, and 'what if' attitudes. That combination of qualities makes writing novels a fun and rewarding experience for both of us. And our readers seem to enjoy the end result, with all of the books receiving fabulous reviews."

Ms. Darby adds, "We both absolutely love doing research on unusual phenomena or happenings around the world. Lacing our stories with facts intertwined with the fiction elements always has readers racing to their 'search engines' to discover what's what. Peter and I believe that facts are important components of any fiction novel, to help make the plot-line seem plausible even though it may be outrageous! And, when all is said and done, all readers want to escape and have their imaginations taken on a ride. That's what curling up with a book is all about!"

Parkin/Darby novels are available worldwide on Amazon Kindle and KOBO. Information about the authors can be obtained by visiting Mr. Parkin's website: http://www.PeterParkin.com
