Ticket Down is a reliable source of authentic tickets for the upcoming exhibition soccer matches in New Jersey at Red Bull Arena.
Red Bull Arena, the home of the New York Red Bulls from Major League Soccer is going to be the home to a remarkable few nights of action later this month. Four national soccer teams including Colombia, Ecuador, Canada, and El Salvador will compete at the popular venue located in Harrison, NJ. The action will kick off on Oct. 10 when Colombia battles El Salvador. Four days later, a double header of international soccer will take place when Ecuador plays El Salvador before Colombia takes on Canada.
After the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the one team that earned the most respect was Colombia. Led by 22-year-old superstar James Rodriguez (who earned the Golden Boot in Brazil with six goals), the Colombian team is now ranked as the third best team in the world according to Fédération Internationale de Football Association, or FIFA. They recently moved up a spot in the rankings ahead of Netherlands and now only trail Germany and Argentina. In addition to James, the team will also be led by captain Radamel Falcao, Teófilo Gutiérrez, and Fredy Guarin.
Aside from Colombia, the only other team to play twice during this great week of soccer in New Jersey is El Salvador. The Central American squad is currently ranked as the 72nd best team in the world according to FIFA and isn’t known for their great stars like other teams in this event, but they are still a formidable team that could pull off the upset against the third best team in the world and Ecuador. El Salvador will be led in this international friendly by Rafael Burgos, Jaime Alas, Andres Flores, and Arturo Alvarez.
The Ecuadorian national soccer team is ranked as the 21st best in the world according to FIFA and will be coming into their showdown with El Salvador with a chip on their shoulder after losing their last friendly to Brazil in September. They only lost 1-0 against the powerhouse Brazilian squad, but know they have a lot of work to do between now and the next World Cup in four years if they want to have a legitimate chance of beating the world’s best teams. They will be led into this match by Walter Ayovi, Maximo Banguera, Segundo Castillo, and Joao Rojas.
Of all the North American teams, Canada is the one that is met with the least fanfare. The Canadian national soccer team is ranked as the 120th best in the world and will have a tough test on Oct. 14 when they compete in the second game of the double header at Red Bull Arena against Colombia.
Red Bull Arena was originally opened in 2010 and has been home to the Red Bulls ever since. The venue can seat 25,000 fans and when these four teams head to Harrison later this month, the facility will be packed from the field to the upper deck for great international soccer.
