CPCU Society Annual Meeting Attracts Thousands of Insurance Professionals to Discuss Industry Issues and Trends
Malvern, PA (PRWEB) October 07, 2014 -- More than 2,260 professionals from across the property-casualty insurance industry gathered at the recent 2014 CPCU Society Annual Meeting for over 100 thought-provoking, expert presentations on topics including safe-driving technologies, strategic leadership skills, climate change and attracting top talent.
The four-day event, held from September 20 to 23 in Anaheim, California, started off by recognizing over 1,900 new Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designees at The Institutes 2014 CPCU Conferment Ceremony, featuring keynote speaker and National Basketball Association Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who shared insights about his own path to success.
The remainder of the meeting provided attendees with an opportunity to share ideas and gain important technical knowledge from industry professionals including:

• Scott Carroll, executive vice president and program director of Take1 Insurance

• Steve Wilder, ARM, The Walt Disney Company’s vice president of risk management
