The Petri IT Knowledgebase Launches All-New Website
CHICAGO (PRWEB) October 07, 2014 -- The Petri IT Knowledgebase (http://www.petri.com) announced today that it has launched an all-new website, the latest in a series of improvements made to one of the leading providers of how-to content, articles, news, and online community for Microsoft IT professionals and system administrators on the Internet.
“Since it was founded by Daniel Petri in 1999, the Petri IT Knowledgebase has always been about helping IT professionals do their jobs faster and more effectively,” says George Coll, Managing Partner of Blue Whale Web LLC, the parent company of the Petri IT Knowledgebase. “Our new platform will further improve how we serve the needs of our readers and industry partners.”
The site redesign coincides with the launch of the “Petri IT Hero” contest, which is co-sponsored by a number of Petri partners. In keeping with Petri’s mission of helping IT professionals work smarter and more effectively, the Petri IT Hero contest allows IT professionals to nominate and vote for a colleague, mentor, or IT guru who has inspired them and helped advanced their careers. At the end of the contest, both the winner and the person that nominated them will win an Xbox One video game console and other prizes. See http://www.Petri.com/Petri-IT-hero for additional contest details.
The new site design features enhanced article pages with more space for more copy and larger images, a new featured article section on the homepage, improved handling of code samples and scripts, faster page loading, and redesigned site navigation. All of these changes and improvements follow the July 2014 domain change of the site from petri.co.il to petri.com.
In addition to the all-new site design and usability improvements, the site also features enhanced coverage of existing and new topics, including Windows 10, Windows Server, PowerShell, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, VMware as well as improved coverage of security and mobility topics. All of these content areas are also now mirrored in the Petri online forums as well. (forums.petri.com)
To celebrate the launch of the Petri.com redesign, several pieces of exclusive content will post the same day as the site relaunch, including interviews with Microsoft Technical Fellow Mark Russinovich, Google Cloud Platform executive Brian Goldfarb, and Petri IT Knowledgebase founder Daniel Petri.
In addition to the revamped site redesign and enhanced topic coverage, several new authors have joined the Petri IT Knowledgebase as content producers and editors.
“I’m pleased to announce that IT experts Jeff Hicks and J. Peter Bruzzese have joined the Petri IT Knowledgebase to cover PowerShell and Office 365 for us, respectively,” says Petri IT Knowledgebase Editorial Director Jeff James. “I’m also happy to announce that Blair Greenwood recently joined us as Senior Editor. These additions to the Petri content team will help us continue to provide the valuable how-to and news analysis content that helps IT professionals do their jobs more effectively.”
The new site design also offers new solutions tailored to meet the needs of partners hoping to market their solutions to Petri readers.
“We have a number of new customized solutions for advertisers,” says Maria Plasterer, Director of Sales & Business Development for the Petri IT Knowledgebase. “Our redesigned site and our multi-channel promotional offerings – including webinars, white papers, and other vehicles – will help partners meet your marketing objectives.”
