Asset Risk Management Opens New Office in Calgary
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) October 07, 2014 -- Asset Risk Management, LLC (ARM) recently opened a new office in the heart of the Calgary business district. By dedicating resources to Canada, ARM will be able to expand its already growing footprint in the Exploration and Production (E&P) sector.
The E&P industry is best defined geographically as a North American industry and is highly fragmented between the U.S. and Canada, with numerous mid- to micro-cap participants. The availability of private equity and other capital sources to fund the development of unconventional resources will accelerate asset development in Canada.
“Given our E&P industry expertise, we believe Canada offers attractive growth potential,” said Christopher Lang, senior vice president, ARM. “A presence in Canada will improve our North American fundamental outlook as we become more embedded in the region. This knowledge and experience will make us an even more valued advisor to our clients, existing and new.”
ARM has hired Stephanie Barker to lead the Calgary office. Barker has a deep background in the energy industry with specific experience in Calgary. “The key to success is hiring the right people, and we found the right person in Stephanie,” said Lang. “We think she will be very successful collaborating with the ARM team to leverage our platform in Canada.”
The Calgary office will initially focus on ARM’s core hedge advisory business in order to establish and build relationships with E&P clients in Canada. Over time, ARM expects that the new office will be able to offer the full suite of producer services currently offered to ARM clients in the U.S.
The new office is located at First Canadian Centre, 813-350 Seventh Avenue SW in Calgary.
