The new 2015 Elantra is more stylish than previous years, while still getting the superb fuel economy and value that it is accustomed to. It continues to be compared to the well-rounded Honda Civic, zippier Mazda3, and Ford Focus.
This Elantra will come in three trims: SE, Limited, and Sport. The reason the 2015 Elantra is considered such a great value is all the standard features it comes with at Preston Hyundai of Maryland. Each trim level comes with full power accessories, cruise control, CD player and USB/iPod interface. One interesting thing is that the SE comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with a fuel efficient yet lackluster 1.8-liter 4 cylinder engine.
As you go up to the ladder and move into the Limited Edition you get add-ons such as leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, as well as Blue Link telematics – Hyundai’s safety feature comparable to On-Star. The final trim level is the Sport Edition. For this level the Elantra actually loses the heated seats and Blue Link, but gains a 2.0L engine, sunroof, sport-tuned suspension, and keyless entry/ignition. The Sport Edition gets fairly lower gas mileage at 24 city and 35 highway. That compares to the SE which achieves 28 and 38 mpg with its smaller engine.
The warranty is something that should be mentioned too. Hyundai gives you a 10 years 100,000 mile Powertrain warranty on all new models. This is easily the best warranty in the business, so you can be worry free about your 2015 Elantra for years to come.
The interior is stylish; continuing the swooped lines and curves that the exterior sports. The 2015 also has tons of leg room, however, extra-tall people may have a difficult time getting the seat low enough to where they have comfortable head room. It is still a great car and should be towards the top of anyone’s list that is considering a compact sedan.
