North West Redwater Partnership Selects Atlas RFID Solutions as the Supplier of Choice for Material Control
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) October 09, 2014 -- Atlas RFID Solutions, the world leader in comprehensive field mobility and Auto-ID solutions for industrial construction, today announced it has been selected by the North West Redwater Partnership as the Supplier of Choice to provide visibility throughout the material and equipment supply chain using its Jovix™ material control solution.
As Phase 1 of the project moves into field execution, North West Redwater (NWR) will implement strategies to safely drive project efficiencies. One such strategy is the deployment of a Positive Material Location & Identification (PMLI) Program using auto-ID and mobile technology.
NWR has engaged Atlas RFID Solutions to work with its Unit Contractors to deploy Jovix™ in their materials management programs as one measure of keeping the project on schedule and on budget. Having access to accurate, real-time information about the location, status and availability of critical materials will improve productivity for the contractors’ direct and indirect labor and will reduce unnecessary material re-procurement. The auto-ID-enabled material control system, Jovix™, will also improve workface planning by providing visibility throughout the entire material lifecycle, from fabrication to installation.

As the Supplier of Choice, Atlas will deliver software, hardware and professional services, as well as a data integration and management plan, program infrastructure, deployment planning and execution, personnel training and key performance metrics, and analysis to measure the success of the program.

North West Redwater Partnership was formed in 2010 as a joint partnership between North West Upgrading Inc. and Canadian Natural Upgrading Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CNRL to build the world’s first bitumen refinery which will combine the already proven processes of gasification technology with an integrated carbon capture and storage solution. The Sturgeon Refinery, which will be located 45 km north-east of Edmonton, is also the first bitumen refinery to sell its CO2 for the purposes of enhanced oil recovery.
