EnablePath President Ernie Riddle and Birlasoft CEO Preeti Das will present the check to Kristin Campbell, Chief Development Officer for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, during their Celebration & Customer Appreciation Dinner on October 15.
The monetary gift is being awarded to the National Domestic Violence Hotline to recognize the vital services they provide to those who are affected by domestic violence and dating abuse. More than 120 EnablePath customers, Salesforce representatives and strategic partners will gather for this inaugural event at the JW Marriott in San Francisco.
According to Kristin, the impact of recent domestic violence incidents involving professional football players has caused a dramatic surge in the number of people contacting The Hotline for immediate and confidential help with abuse. “After the video of Ray Rice punching his then fiancé surfaced weeks ago, our call volume increased by 84% and we have not seen those levels decrease. Traditionally, we receive 900 contacts a day – that’s calls, chats and texts. Now, we are averaging between 1400 and 1700 contacts per day.”
EnablePath helped The Hotline deploy the Salesforce Service Cloud to handle contacts into the National Domestic Violence Hotline’s call center. Brian Pinero, Director for Digital Services for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, commented on the major benefits of the new cloud technology. “Our ability to effectively log the growing number of calls and contacts, after the Ray Rice event, has been critical. In addition, the data we are now able to collect in our CRM system is helping us identify and shape our specific needs in terms of policy, resources and staffing. The new system makes the process flow smoother, keeps our database records up to date and is flexible to grow with us,” Brian concluded.
